About Block Drop

How to play Block Drop
Pieces made of four blocks fall one at a time into a well 10 blocks wide. Move and rotate each piece so it fits neatly, and fill a complete row to clear it. A faint outline shows where the piece will land, and the next three pieces wait on the right.
Clearing one, two, three or four lines with one piece scores 100, 300, 500 or 800 points, multiplied by your level. Soft and hard drops add a few points too. Every 10 lines you go up a level and the pieces fall faster. The game ends when the stack reaches the top.
Tips
- ▸Keep the stack low and flat, and leave one column at the side open for a long straight piece to clear four lines at once.
- ▸Use Hold (C, X or Shift, or tap the box) to save a straight piece for later or swap out an awkward one. You can hold once per piece.
- ▸A piece does not lock the instant it touches down, so you still have a moment to slide or rotate it into a gap.
- ▸Once a piece is lined up, hard drop it with Space. It is faster and worth 2 points per row.

- How do you get a high score in Block Drop?
- Clear several lines with one piece. Four lines at once scores 800 points times your level, twice as much as clearing them one at a time.
- When do the pieces speed up?
- Every 10 lines you go up a level. Pieces then fall faster, and line scores are multiplied by the new level.
- How do I play on a phone?
- Use the on-screen d-pad: left and right move, up rotates and down soft drops. The B button hard drops, and you tap the Hold box to hold a piece.
