How to play Tower Defense Lite

Enemies follow a winding path from the left edge to your base on the right. You start with 150 gold and 20 lives. Pick a tower from the bottom bar, or press 1, 2 or 3, then click any free grass tile to build. Press Start wave 1 or Space to begin. Towers fire automatically at the enemy furthest along.

The Cannon (60 gold) fires splash shells, the Frost tower (50) slows enemies and the Laser (85) is a rapid long-range beam. Click a tower to upgrade it twice or sell it for 70% of what you spent. Kills and cleared waves earn gold. Leaked enemies cost lives: tanks cost two and the boss on every fifth wave costs five. Survive 20 waves to win.

Tips

• ▸Build beside the bends. The path doubles back, so a tower near a corner can cover two or three stretches.
• ▸Pair Frost towers with Cannons. Slowed enemies bunch up, and splash damage hits the whole group.
• ▸Call waves early when you're comfortable: each second left on the 20-second break is worth 2 gold.
• ▸Keep gold ready for waves 5, 10, 15 and 20, when bosses with huge health arrive.

How is the Tower Defense Lite score calculated?

You get 100 points per wave cleared plus the gold you hold at the end, so unspent gold counts too.

What kinds of enemies are there?

Normal enemies from the start, fast ones from wave 3 and slow, tough tanks from wave 5, plus a boss every fifth wave. All of them gain health as the waves go on.

Can I play on a touchscreen?

Yes. Tap a tower button, then a free tile to build. Tap a built tower for its Upgrade and Sell buttons, and use the wave button instead of Space.
